So many moments in life seem to quickly pass...but a photo freezes those moments in time. I seem to get lost in photos. Blessing people with memories is why I love photography! I remember growing up, spending time on my grandparents farm in North Dakota. Not much to do out there, especially in the middle of winter. You would either freeze going to the barn to help feed or stay inside. When I chose to stay inside, I remember so many times going through mounds of pictures my Grandma had stored...I would spend hours looking through them. I might not even known who I was looking at, but I loved imaging what was taking place in the picture. Of course then I would find a treasure, one of myself in the mounds of photos, then I would ask my mom....when was this? How old was I?...and there it was, a memory brought back to life. I loved that feeling!Sometimes it brought laughter, sometimes it brought sadness...but it always seemed to stop time and make me dream and imagine. I feel like I finally found my passion, taking pictures! I am still finding my niche, but I love photographing families, babies and children, in natural light settings with a photo-journalistic approach.
