Passions....

Well, this is my first blog! I have always wanted to create one, but between working full-time and having a little one year old to keep me busy on my days off, I haven't been able to find the time to actually create one. Today was the day,  I decided to start my first blog!


Although with a computer that is slow as molasses and ready to crash (seriously) at any moment, it has been a trying day of patiently waiting for images to upload. With a couple of freezes here and there, I was able to clean the house, make lunch, change some diapers and read my little girl a couple books. I have always had a love for photography and how precious images illicit certain emotions when caught in a perfect moment. I love making memories and cherishing them, and I think photography speaks volumes when you have those images to remember.

It all started about five years ago or so, my husband decided to go back to school for photography. He is more technical then I am, and you know how that goes teaching your spouse a new skill! He has tried, but I am not always a good listener. I love to grab the camera and capture the image and not caught up in the technical.

So, this is just the beginning for me. My images may not be "technically" perfect, but they are images that I've captured and that I love. It will be a slow work in progress in between work and life. But in the midst, I have decided that I need to start pursuing my passions and not let them slip by me. Yes, I may not have the tools or the training I need to take the best pictures, but I've allowed that to stop me so many times before. (Yes, I can be a perfectionist!)  My friends reading this will agree that my passions range far and wide! I have always been interested in so many things, and have struggled with what to pursue. But I have always thought....why limit yourself! It makes life fun!

Since having my little blessing little over a year ago, alot in life has changed. I don't want to miss out on anything! So, here I go on my journey pursuing photography. Even if its just to capture those precious moments my little ones bring me daily, that is where I will start! I hope you enjoy this blog and it inspires you as much as it has me.
