As I build my portfolio, I have been asking friends and family to allow me to practice on them! As I learn and navigate my way through the world of photography, I am overwhelmed by it all and what I don't know! But I find myself so energized by what I see in photographs, taken by photographers that are so talented! In the meantime, I am enjoying the moments I get to take pictures of so many great things and learn from each photo!
A newborn photo being one. Baby Zach's family was so patient and willing to work with me as I tried out different things. It was such a learning opportunity and so great to finally meet little Zach!
Zach was such a good baby to work with, between me trying to figure out which pictures to take, naked or clothed, with or without big brother and/or Mom and Dad. Hopefully, his parents weren't ready to kick me out by the end!
Babies feet are so cute to photograph....
And three year old's feet are just as cute!
Ben, Zach's big brother was such a good sport and gave his little brother lots of love....
In Daddy's hands.....
Proud Dad and Big Brother....
And parents.....
And of course, the most precious & beautiful....mom and baby. So peaceful and content.....
Thank you so much to baby Zach's family for letting me practice what I love to do! Your family is so beautiful. I had so much fun spending part of my day with all of you.

An Afternoon at the Park
Taking advantage of the "nice" spring weather in Montana could possibly only last five minutes on any given day. So, one has to be ready to run outside and soak up that one ray of sunshine that might shine through the clouds. Springtime in Montana, is like a little kid at Baskin Robbins trying to pick out what flavor of ice cream. I think I want sunshine, no I think I want rain, wait can I try some snow, yeah I think I want all three!! Sunday, I had to take advantage of the nice weather, so I took Hudsyn to the park. It didn't last very long and it was raining by the time I got home, but she enjoyed the ten minutes we were there. She loved watching the kids play and swinging.....
When the novelty of swinging was over, she was on to trying to climb the tallest and steepest stairs to the big kid slide!
She was on a mission! I am glad we were able to enjoy our ten minutes there and for me to capture a few precious moments of her at the park.

All for 1
Two birthday parties, both at 1:00 p.m. and both for two precious babies turning 1! It was a busy day for Hudsyn and I going to two parties in one day! I decided I would take my camera along and get some shots of the big day for both.
Hudsyn and I's first stop, was Parker's party (we call him her boyfriend) although they don't even know it yet! This was Parker's first birthday, although we couldn't stay long, so I didn't get very many shots, but here are a few.....
One of his first guests to arrive was this cute puppy....
After Parker's birthday (although we missed the cake and presents), we headed for Faith's house. It was not only Faith's birthday, but her big sister Ryen's as well....

Parker and his friends outside, while the hamburgers were on the grill...
This is one of my favorite photos....the big cheeto puffs off to the left and the huge cupcake she is gazing at, make her birthday wish......
So, technically Hudsyn and I attended three birthday parties! Wow, we were tired when we got home. Lots of great food and off course sweet things sends you crashing later.
Happy Birthday Parker, Faith & Ryen.....thanks for letting me capture these precious moments!

Blue Jeans
Blue Jeans....ahh, I love the days I get to wear blue jeans! Today was a blue jean day....Hudsyn and I got ready to go to town and it was so nice out, I thought I would take some quick pictures before we left for the afternoon. She loves being outside and is always trying to get out the front door before me! Well, today she made it....here are some shots I got of her enjoying the beautiful sunny day....
Of course toddlers, well they toddle and then they fall, right in the mud! Yup right before we went to town. She loved the puddles though, it was so cute! White shoes and all, in the mud. Everything washed off pretty good and off to town we went.

We had so much fun the first time, when we got home from town it was still so nice out we decided to head back out for another round of mud puddles! As you can see her cute little pony tails got smashed up and matted from the car seat! I think my little girl, bow and all loves the outdoors and getting dirty as much as I did growing up. That is why we reserve dresses for clean days and jeans for getting dirty, right girls! (I am sure my mom can attest to some days where I got my nice Sunday dresses dirty, sorry mom!)

Easter
Easter is right around the corner! That means spring should be here as well! Maybe that is wishful thinking, but today was a beautiful day and I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a sweet little girl, Rylan Reese.
She is so precious and has such a fun personality! Her mom, Jena and I work together and she asked me to take some photos for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Journey, where we both go to church. Each year they have a huge Easter Egg hunt for kids in the Gallatin Valley. This year they are filling over 40,000 eggs and Rylan is the poster baby the event!
Of course Hudsyn was with me and she was such a good girl. She kept herself busy playing with all sorts of things and yes every once in a while wanted to get in on the Easter Egg pictures. There were eggs everywhere! She seemed to enjoy the dog, Lucy that was there as well. I was a little nervous having her with me, but had no choice since Dad was working, but she was so good! Well enjoy the pictures....

Passions....
Well, this is my first blog! I have always wanted to create one, but between working full-time and having a little one year old to keep me busy on my days off, I haven't been able to find the time to actually create one. Today was the day, I decided to start my first blog!
